Hey everyone, Christian here—the solo dev behind BrandQL. I'm thrilled to announce the release of version 0.1.1, which brings our API and CDN online. As a fellow entrepreneur who's bootstrapped this from scratch, I know how crucial it is to have flexible tools that integrate seamlessly into your workflow. This update is all about giving you more control and efficiency without being tied to our website frontend.
What's New in 0.1.1?
The big highlight is the launch of our public API and Content Delivery Network (CDN). Now, you can access BrandQL's core features programmatically, making it easier to embed logos, brand assets, or other resources directly into your apps, websites, or tools.
- API Endpoint: Fetch data with simple HTTP requests. For instance, to grab a logo for a domain, just hit
https://api.brandql.com/logo/brandql.com. It returns the asset in your preferred format—SVG, PNG, you name it. This is perfect for automating brand integrations in your product dashboards or marketing tools. - CDN Integration: All assets are served via a fast, global CDN (using Cloudflare), ensuring low-latency delivery no matter where your users are. No more slow loads or dependency on our main site; everything's optimized for performance.
Why This Matters for You
If you're a developer, this means quicker prototyping and fewer frontend hassles. Product managers can now streamline asset management across teams, and entrepreneurs like us can build leaner, more scalable solutions without reinventing the wheel.
I built this with real-world use cases in mind—think dynamic branding in SaaS apps, automated reports, or even AI-powered design tools. It's all about saving time so you can focus on what matters: growing your business.
Getting Started
Head over to our docs for full API details, authentication (it works unauthenticated for now), and rate limits. If you're already using BrandQL, this upgrade is live—no action needed on your end.
I'd love your feedback—drop a comment in the feedback form or hit me up on X (@useBrandQL). What's next? Scraper improvements and image processing. Stay tuned!
Thanks for the support,
Christian
